LETTING GO....
Something "happens" in your life....
It can become an obstacle ..just like this tree that fell on the ground.
We could have removed it,but we didn't..
The rains came, the cold winds
blew..it got cold..the ground froze ..the snows came.
This tree frozen in a small pond of water ,actually looks kind of pretty.
If more snow were to have come and buried it, it could have become dangerous...
Your emotions are like this tree.
Once standing tall and strong, something happened...
you didn't know what to do, so you let the wind ,rain come and the snow "cover" them...
Letting the "snow" to continue to pile up.. there can be a danger to your health...
If you have read some of my past posts, you will remember that a merry heart doeth good like a medicine..LAUGHTER is healing.
While a "snow" job may "help" to cover hurts ,
may provide a temporary solution or enable you to proceed..be prepared for a possible "melt" down or worse.
If you let the "snow" pile up, you may be "piling" up dangers or damages to yourself...
There have been many articles written about how many diseases etc are linked to
emotions...so STOP, evaluate..just where are you? Do you have a "mote" or a "log"
that needs some "tending?" Maybe you are blinded by all the snow..ask a trusted friend to listen ( I mean LISTEN w/o "helping"..)
Here is a simple technigue to try for yourself and possibly help you get "unstuck"
If you have an obstacle or seem "STUCK"... close your eyes,
GIVE yourself FREEDOM to validate how you feel.
Notice where "it" manifests it's self (pain or a sensation) ..
relax breathe "with" it..
when feel "it" "letting go"( the pain or sensation not as intense)
STAND up & reach for the sky !
Slowly bend over , letting yourself "hang" a sec,
slowly round yourself back up to a standing position,
THERE now doesn't your "load" feel a bit lighter?
Repeat if "it " is hanging on, or when the next "rain" comes..
until like an onion the layers of pain & or emotion "peel" off of you..
WOW, now you are "cookin'" ( sorry..an onion pun!)
Now you are ,can get/do/be FREE)
If you are unable to let the layers release you may want to consider councelling..
A (good)councellor can assist you in getting to the root( dealing with the past)and trust me there are some "lousy" ones out there.
A (good) coach (ditto for "coaches" so check who the are with)
They can assit you with : ok thats what got you "stuck" ..
NOW then..how do ..YOU... WANT to move forward, ( dealing with the present & future)
My prayer is for each of you reading this to BE FREE to BE who you were designed to be ..WOW >>> look at you go ....
If you would like to receive some coaching contact me.
I will assist you in finding a "match" for your personal coaching.
I am in a coaching community.
Many of us offer a 15 min complimentary call.
This is see if we would be a "match" for you.
If not we know of others we will suggest ,to you, who may be.

Tributes to Red Skelton & John Wayne & their patriotism
(I apologize for whatever reason this post didn't allow live links
you can cut and past them into your browser to view, then back arrow to return for the next one)
Red Skelton
I always loved watching his shows
not only did I enjoy his funny show
My heart was always warmed when he said good night
to his audience and said God Bless...
I so wanted to hear my Dad say something like that
I never did..
Red brought laughter into our home, he showed us how to
view life in the eyes of others,
he showed us how to be creative
and he showed us how to make an ordinary day have fun in it
as we were shown how to remain young at heart.
Mr.Skelton with his winsome ways also taught vauable lessons
Below are links I wish we would all remember and share
www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioIkqKVzt
John Wayne
..he rode into my heart as a true hero
and of course he had horses..and we all know how I love horses
We don't have enough hero's, and those we have are often overlooked
or not recognized...steadfast loyalty to raise a family
during difficult times or through life challenges and tradgedies
this takes true heroism...
There are never enough horses...I just read an article ..
a horse a day keeps the Dr. away...I agreee :-)
this is a beautiful redition

Just WHO are YOU?.
Is the path before you dimly lighted, or the night before you seemingly, long, dark and forboding ?
Have you had some hard knocks and either lose your way or forget who you are?
It can happen to the strongest person, it can happen so slowly that you don't recognize it for what it is...the robbing of your inner core, your essence,
your you...the unique you who you were created and destined to be..
Time will continue, how will you continue in the march of time?
Do you choose to remain shackled by the devastative blows of the past, the lies,
the enslavement to living an untrue existance, one that is not you?
Does it matter whether your prison guard is food, weight, some bad habit that has made your world turn into a nightmare, a bad choice, perhaps you feel trapped in some situation or environment..but are you really?...
What really can steal your being? Your spirit? What do you choose..yes choose to let control who you are,how you react how your future will be?
Watch this short video , it was sent to me by Tony Robbins and Cloe Madanes
You can watch a life transformed before your very eyes, in this video... it is only 15 min. This could be you, can you open up your heart and eyes to the possibility?
WHO are you...really ?
The link below isn't allowing you to simply click on it.
You can cut and paste it into your google browser. It took me a while to learn how to do this, but it is very easy once you know how..ask someone to show you if you don't know how.

Wearin' of the green..a tribute to St.Patrick

I love St. Patrick's day..In part because I have some Irish heritage, but I also love the reason we celebrate St. Patrick's day.
Giving of one's self for others.
St. Patrick's day is a reminder of so many others who have gone before me.
Brave souls who gave their all,so others as well as myself could hear words to set us free. They remind me to give and sacrifice for others, as well.
So St. Patrick's day,we "wear the green proudly and are reminded of so much to be thankful for. Not only do we wear the green, we often eat the green..
Have you ever had green milk for breakfast, green eggs and ham..green jelly for your toast and for jelly sandwiches? Green jello for dessert at supper?
Yes GREEN, GREEN, GREEN... today make IT GREEN... you still have time...
==================================================================================
A Little St.Patrick's Day History...
St. Patrick's was born in Roman Britain in the fifth century, into a wealthy Romano-British family. His father & grandfather church deacons.
Patrick was kidnapped by Irish raiders when he was 16 years old and taken as a slave, to Ireland. It is believed Patrick was held somewhere on the west coast of Ireland, possibly Mayo, but the exact location is unknown.
According to Patrick , he heard God tell him in a dream to flee from captivity to the coast, and board a ship and return to Britain. Upon his return to Britain, Patrick joined the Church in Auxerre in Gaul ,where he studied to become a priest.
Patrick said he was called back to Ireland in 432. He returned a bishop, to save the Irish. Patrick was successful in reaching the Irish people, he focused on converting royalty ,aristocracy as well as the poor.
Irish folklore tells that Patrick's teaching included using a shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) to the Irish people. Tradition says Patrick died on March 17,461 AD, and that he was buried at Downpatrick , after teaching and spreading God's Word for nearly 30 years. Patrick endured as the principal champion of Irish Christianity and is held in esteem in the Irish Church, even though there were other more successful missions from Rome to Ireland.

little white lies.& to thine ownself be true
Really stop and think for a minute. Who has your undivided attention nearly 24/7
Give up? .....YOU...
You are the recipient of everything you say,do,believe, purpose, etc.
So just what are you hearing, doing, believing?
Even what would be considered a "nothing" statement by most of us,ultimately will worm
itself down into our inner belief system..
I truly believe in the 10 commandments, I would choose to believe their value for society
even if I chose not to believe in the author.
To me they make good common sense with the best possible outcome
for the good of all.
That said,what about digesting them?
Over at my farmfunnies blog I like to say how I ruminate on ideas and concepts,
for those of you not living around animals or associated with the way they live. ruminating is only done by those animals which chew a cud. More specifically it only take place when the animal is content,at peace, resting.
Now then take a few moments, think about the commandment concerning telling the truth.
Is it ever ok to lie? Not if you really believe the author of that statement...never,never, never.
What if it is to save someones life,or "helps" alleviate ,or,or, or...Bottom line,I believe NEVER.
OK ...am I saying I have never lied or never will again, especially if put to a 'test'? Of course not.
After all, I am only human..I have no idea how I would react if someone endangered the life of
one of my kids, and a lie seemed like the only way to save them, I was asked this question in front of a group ,and the majority of the group disagreed with my answer.
From my perspective it would still be wrong.
EVEN... if the outcome was good.
I truly believe that there would be a better way. Corrie Ten Boom expressed the wondrous outcome of her sisters always truthful answers. Could I 100% always be truthful? I wish I could say emphatically yes, I already know without the help of God, I could not.
I know I could not because...I just realized I do lie...to myself..and what is even worse...I am gullible enough to believe the little white lies...
Here is a merryheart confession example...
I have my own homebusiness.. I have struggled with a number of items as my business has grown. One of my upline (business mentor/coach/support) not long ago asked how I was doing..
I said I'm doing great...in many areas I really was... but I wasn't being totally honest..
I wasn't "getting' some things, I was discouraged,and I needed help.
Why did I say "great?"
For starters I had earlier been told when I was present at one of the trainings , I wasn't upbeat enough. This is one place I had thought would be a safe place to ask questions, to try and find solutions to difficulties encountered, to be oneself. Others also growing, stretching , learning were asking, some even complaining. were applauded, for their questions and "realness". not so for me. In my mind there was an inconsistency and unfairness.
So the next time asked how was I . Trying to practice the general consenses of ..fake it till you make it "motto"
Oh ,I'm doing fine. Also I didn't want another platitude,
nor did I want further perceiving as the doom and gloom gal.
I had concluded I would have to learn things on my own, thus why even bother to burden this person with my struggles.
My response , seems innocent enough doesn't it ..seems to actually been a "nice" thing in someways..STOP... it was really a bad thing.
My integrity was broached..to myself..
I still haven't figured out an answer for similar questions ,unless ...
ummm do you really want to know and really be a help or is this just small talk ?
That would seem blunt.
I do know I need to start seeing I damage myself with even simple "social" grace white lie responses..
what happens is I ultimately cannot trust myself..who wants to believe a liar?
Where are you in this equation?
Have you told little social grace white lies?
How is this possibly effecting you, your friends, family, your business..ultimately YOU ?
Today why not take advice from Shakespeare and purpose ...to thine own self be true ,
When you are true to yourself, believing, living, saying, doing , being truth:
then your heart can truly be a merry one..
Perhaps my Fern and snow photo can remind you...
Even when life has you covered in a blanket of snow,
you can illuminate the landscape of your life with your rich ,truthful brilliance
Let your light of truth shine to those around you

Christmas..Check your lists, and do some reflecting
I love Christmas,
One might wonder why,because
as a child besides the gifts and wonder ,it also brought enough pain to nearly overshadowed the joy of Christmas.
I vowed to myself it and other things would be different for my kids.
I didn't know, then, how much grown up "stuff" could get in the way.
Work, pain, interpersonal relationships, family adjustments , personal "growing up"struggles , financial "grief" (out of work ,no money),disappointments( deeds and words from others seemingly bent on destroying any joy you have, in even simple things..words sure can cause deep wounds can't they?)
Then there are the ghosts (memories) of Christmas past( I grew up in a heaven/hell home environment. My mom loved and served God, my Dad was at war with God .
Dad both loved and hated Christmas (and Christians, even his own kids) sadly my dad 'celebrated" it with way too much alcohol.
Dad ,most often ,was a violent abusive drunk.
Like water seeping into a"wounded" boat hull , these "ghosts" can sink and destroy you ,if you don't keep bailing , make temporary repairs or do like I did, and get a whole "new" boat(below)
MAN overboard...that's how one can feel during what should be the most joyous time of the year...forgetting that even the Angels sang for the birth of Jesus.
If you feel overloaded, pressurized, depressed, scroogie (hey ,all the pressure of commercialization alone, to 'get" us to buy, shop, give ,donate, can overwhelm one if you let it)
Then there is the prep time: cleaning (why did our kids and now our dogs get sick AFTER,a newly cleaned carpet?) cooking, wrapping, stuffing, decorating( just finding the stashed "stuff"to decorate, can be frustrating)
I remember one year when our kids were still in grade school, I was headed towards a
KISS Christmas( otherwise called: keep it simple stupid, or perhaps STOP the "insanity". a KISS approach to anything ,if you're not careful can quickly be like throwing the baby out with the bath water, before you know it ,at Christmas time ,you become what else... scroogie..
Better watch out scroogie I "am " headed your way.
I was tired, plus I was in the "gopher" stage (you know this stage I bet)
either your kids or your friends are involved in this program, that play etc and who is the main "go-for it" and do for them? You got it, MOM or good friend... YOU...
That year it was ME.. as I was desperately trying to be the Christmas"hostess twinkie" mom in her "spare" time" .
( the Hostess twinkie mom ,does it all perfectly ,everyone smiles and adores her.
A good movie example ,depicting...we are all "happy",working together...find and watch lilies of the field starring Sydney Poitier )
There I was TaDa: the greatest twinkie mom failure ,or so it seemed to me at the time, nothing was going perfectly, just where were those smiles? and it felt as if every one didn't adore me.
I was discouraged ,especially with all of the to do's, the expectations( both a good share of which happened to be my own): our kids wish lists were long and money was L-O-N-G "gone"
Plus I was overwhelmed with all of the commercials squeezed between the Christmas specials the family loves to watch . M-O-O-M.."hey I WANT that" or "guess what schoolmate so and so " is getting or already "got"...UGH!
Something happened, in the twinkling of an eye...no not a "quiet" in the house mouse, umm was "it"an accident?
No, it was a simple holiday movie starring Jimmy Stuart that "happened" to come on .
The movie ,It's a wonderful life, inspired me at a time I was struggling with great pains, emotionally and physically.
I felt as if my life really didn't matter,(little do we know, right? )
Next happening to clinch the "deal".. a ladies Christmas tea ...
yep, one more "go-for""thing & place . I could barely drag myself there,
I debated on not going.
I am so glad I went. The visiting missionary shared how they celebrated Jesus's
birthday BIG time...they went all out, because our God is special.
Then I remembered WHY I loved and celebrated Christmas .
I am ever so thankful for someone so special and wonderful who came into my life ,year earlier, with a precious gift:
At nine years of age I met Him, Jesus . I wanted to live for Him because He died for me.
I remembered ,Jesus had paid a humongous price for the worlds first Christmas GIFT,
a King's ransom, in fact.
But He gave His own life, not just for the world , perhaps more importantly I remembered this expensive gift was "just"for ME too.
(to really receive a gift one must accept,"open" and use it,by the way)
I accepted this rich gift of John 3:16 and "opened" my gift (Romans 10:9&10).
I also chose to follow in Jesus's footsteps as well as other heros who chose to do so :
Ruth, Ester, David, Joshua and Caleb (Joshua 24:15, is one of my life 'threads") .
Even as a young girl I chose then, come what may, I would follow.
Sometimes I felt like I was eating those heart words, but thankfully was reminded ,when I need reminded most, I am in THE race and on the Winning TEAM , with a host of "folk" cheering me on.
They are there, even when I stumble ,trip , fall or even during those times I have been "shoved" down into a pit (on purpose by someone who hates me. I am in good company though, because he hates God and especially Jesus too) .
Nearly all of my hero's are listed in what is fondly called by those who know about it,the "hall of fame: (Read Hebrews 11 in a King James or new King James version of the Bible for the most accurate translation)
Christmas is also now my time to reflect and my time to think about the coming New Year..
what would I do differently, what did I miss, forget, wish I could do over.. I start getting my "list" ready for my New Years appraisal and revision.
Thus ,I am keeping my list and checking it twice, not just for Christmas but for each coming
New year too.
You "got" this post today because...as I was checking my list for what I need to do and make during the remaining days before Christmas.. what do you know ,an elderly dog I am babysitting, while the owner is away for Christmas, just became incontinent..did I "need" that?
This dog is so sweet , and he was very embarrassed so I "simply" added to my to do list.
I chose to take the time and take him with me to "visit" our wonderful vet, and design and make him a doggie diaper. NOW he feels better and I can ,with Joy, get back to my list.
To compensate for the time 'crunch" this extra to do created on my list, I'll cross off a few things that really don't matter.
A few of those those extra "hostess twinkie" mom 'things' .
I love this dog ,even though he isn't mine ,and he needed my help.
I am remembering ..the perfect gift is love , love gives where it is needed.
Stop , look and listen... where is love really needed around you?
Your loved ones, the neighbor, the helpless, the lonely, perhaps the hungry birds outside, or a sad, embarrassed faithful ,man best friend ,even if his heart belongs to someone else.
(another great movie to watch is the gift of Love starring Marie Osmond)
May you enjoy a very special and blessed Christmas.
